James Stewart and Ryan Dungey each pick up a win in the 450 class Motocross National event in Millville, Minnesota.
It was a chilly rainy day in Minnesota as motocross fans from across the country descended on the small town of Millville, Minnesota for the 31st running of the Red Bull Spring Creek National in Millville, Round 9 – 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
Both the 250 and 450 classes had racers returning “home” to Minnesota. For the 250 class race, Jeremy Martin grew up within walking distance of the race track in Millville, Minn. while Ryan Dungey grew up about 100 miles Northwest of Millville. Both riders would have up and down days.
Ryan Dungey returned to Minnesota training rival Ryan Villopoto by 41 points. Dungey dominated the second race, picking up a win, after a disappointing fifth place finish in race one. Dungey did pick up 41 points between the two races and gained eight points on Villopoto with three stops left on the tour.
